Digital marketing and web design for Conroe, TX businesses

I am Kevin Hackett, based next door in Montgomery. I build websites, run SEO and lead generation, and fix Google Business Profiles for Conroe businesses. I meet Conroe clients in person and work remotely with businesses anywhere. My specialty is home-service contractors, and every business is welcome.

What have you done in Conroe?

Conroe has more of my lead systems than any other town in the county. Four of them send jobs to Conroe-area contractors: a remodeler, an outdoor living builder, a garage flooring installer and a tree service. The contractor pays only for the jobs they close, not for every call.

Excalibur Pest Control, a member of the Conroe chamber, is owned by Craig Williams, my co-host on The Homeowners Show. Excalibur came to me with a website that was not pulling its weight. My team and I replaced it, built it to accessibility standards, and helped Craig claim a federal accessibility tax credit that covered half of what the site cost.

I also work with Sanco Contractors, and with YHWH Eden, a nonprofit, Christ-centered creative worship movement that holds worship nights of music, dance, art and poetry at venues around Montgomery County.

Conroe business owners have been regulars on The Homeowners Show since our first season. Steve Spoon of Victory Insulation has joined us three times, most recently in July 2025 on insulation scams. Paul the Plumber and Deborah have been on three times. Jehu and Jojo Trumbly of Affordable Air Repair talked air conditioning with us in 2019 and heating in 2020. Mike Faust of Faust Landscaping explained smart irrigation in August 2023. And back in April 2019 the Greater Conroe/Lake Conroe Area Chamber of Commerce came on to explain what a chamber actually does for a small business.

I started out interviewing contractors on a podcast; here is the story.

What does a Conroe business need from marketing?

Conroe is no longer a small town. The Census Bureau counted 114,581 people here in July 2024, up 27.4% since 2020, and Conroe was the fastest-growing large city in the country in 2015 to 2016. Growth like that brings customers, and it brings competitors who move here to chase them.

The Greater Houston Partnership counts about 4,800 employers in Conroe, with retail the largest group and health care close behind. That is a crowded "near me" search. When somebody looks for a plumber or a dentist in Conroe, Google shows three businesses on the map. In my own field, many of the agencies on page one for Conroe searches are out-of-town firms with a page per city and no Conroe clients named. A Conroe business needs a Google profile that is complete and active, and a website that names the neighborhoods and the work.

Conroe also has two kinds of customer. There are the homeowners filling the new subdivisions, and there are the businesses around Grand Central Park on I-45 and in the industrial parks, Conroe Park North and Deison Technology Park. A contractor who wants both needs a site with a page for each, because a facilities manager and a homeowner are not searching for the same thing.

I also work with businesses in Montgomery, Willis and The Woodlands.

FAQs

Do you pay for leads or do I?

On a lead generation system, you pay for the jobs you close, not for every call. Most contractors find it costs less than pay-per-lead services. The details are on the lead generation page.

Will you work for my competitor down the road?

Each lead system serves one contractor in one trade, and the leads are exclusive to that contractor.
